The Crowd Scene: Bio

The Crowd Scene was put together in London a little over ten years ago by expat American songwriter and bass player Anne Rogers and London-native songwriter and guitarist Grahame Davies, but are now based in Arlington Virginia, where they met and teamed up with drummer Evan Pollack.

They play some kind of indie rock folk singer songwriter pop melange that has been likened to The Kinks, The Zombies, Elliott Smith, The Left Banke, Let's Active, and any number of other people they aren't worthy to be mentioned in the same paragraph with. They like long walks on the beach, fine dining, and talking about themselves in the third person.

They've logged thousands, if not dozens, of miles touring around the United States; as far north as Boston, as far south as Atlanta, and as far west as Los Angeles. Not much in the middle yet, but you know, there's time for that.

They were excited to work with Chris Stamey, late of The dB's on their latest record *With Complete Glossary For Squares -- he mixed some of the songs at his Chapel Hill studio Modern Recording.
